Tim Vogel is the alias for Dutch DJ/Producer Tim Vogelenzang. His musical career started when Tim got an amateur DJ set for Christmas when he was 12. He was playing this at home every week and didn't know then that this would become his passion around the age of 17. He also received his first performances at that time. After playing at many parties, he found out that he likes the specific sound of the genres minimal and house.
The first time he came into contact with this sound was through his buddy ATTEK. Who's been in this scene for a little while longer. Through ATTEK, Tim Vogel came into contact with the minimal and house world more and more. For example, Tim Vogel has organized parties in the Patronaat and Club Stalker in Haarlem. While playing here himself. When Tim Vogel started studying, he dropped playing for two years until he came into contact with DJ LaHoq. They regularly went to record mixtapes together at home in their studio and came into contact with Radio Haarlem 105. For this they were allowed to play live on local television and radio in the Haarlem area.
This resulted for Tim Vogel and LaHoq in recording a podcast recording for Deep Grooves. This is the largest minimal/house platform on Instagram in the Netherlands. Beyond Tim Vogel and LaHoq's expectations, the podcast was listened to a lot in a short time. A short time after the Deep Grooves podcast was released, Tim Vogel was again invited by Deep Grooves to record a podcast. Here Tim Vogel decided to do a B2B with ATTEK. This podcast was a hit and Tim Vogel was invited to other podcasts such as GrooveCast and the NMNH festival.
After focusing mainly on podcasts, Tim Vogel thought it was time to start performing for clubs again. He was recently allowed to perform for It's House in Stadslab Groningen, for Invicta at one of the newest festival locations in Amsterdam. He recently starts playing all over Amsterdam in the major clubs like the Lovelee and Oliva. When you think of Tim Vogel's sound, you think of the music of the labels INLV, Kief, Involved, Gabu, Whoyostro, Dushe and Rendr.
